The SWKGSA Board of Directors held a public hearing at the GSA’s office at 944 Whitley Avenue in Corcoran, California on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. to consider the establishment of the 2021 Land-Based Assessment Rate on all lands greater than 10 acres within the boundaries of the GSA.
The Southwest Kings Groundwater Sustainability Agency intends to adopt a metering policy to require water meters on all groundwater wells within the SWKGSA’s boundary that discharge more than 2 acre-feet per year. A draft policy includes costs that will be imposed by the Agency for the purpose of compliance. The SWKGSA Board held a meeting to conduct a public hearing, discuss and consider adopting such a policy on April 8, 2020 via video conference.
